AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) which is the highest level of women's soccer in United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 9 Morgan was drafted as the number one player in the Western New York Flash's 2011 WPS Draft shortly after she had graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Morgan played for the California Golden Bears. She made her debut in professional football and played in the team's win of the league title. Morgan 22, then 22 years old, was the youngest national player to play at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011 where she placed second. Morgan scored the game-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final match at the 2012 London Olympics. Her 2012 ended with 21 goals and 28 assists and Mia Hamm was the only American woman who scored both 20 and 20 goals. It made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. After being named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year Morgan was also a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan was also instrumental in the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and 2019. She was selected for both the Dream Team for both tournaments. In 2019, she won the Silver Boot.
